Our Mission

Sharing the joy of music with our community through the choral arts.

Our Vision

A harmonious community.

Our Values

  • Community: Creating connections and lifelong friendships.
  • Education: Building a foundation of musical appreciation, knowledge, and skill.
  • Local: Contributing to the culture and arts in the Northshore community.
  • Teamwork: Many voices coming together to make a powerful sound.

Our Community

Northshore Choir was started to fill a void in the Northshore area for great choral education. We proudly serve the communities of Bothell, Woodinville, Kenmore, Kirkland, Mill Creek, Lake Forest Park, Maltby, and Snohomish.

Our Logo

The logo for Northshore Choirs was inspired by the north end of Lake Washington. It uses 5 lines to mimic waves and doubles as a musical staff. The general shape is a circle to feel like a compass pointing north. The eighth note also doubles as a sailboat and points north. The “N” for North and the note on the C space on the staff are the initials of Northshore Choirs (NC).

About the Director

Holly Batstone, MEd, grew up in Southern California and was fortunate to have music be a part of her life since she can remember. She sang in church and school choirs growing up. She directed her first choir when she was still in high school. She graduated from California Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and Master of Education degree, with music education as an emphasis. Holly moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2010 and fell in love with her community. She found her soulmate and has three young daughters. She enjoys traveling and volunteering. When she’s not directing music, you can find her at PTA events at her daughter’s school, teaching Sunday School at her church, or serving on the board at the Northshore Schools Foundation.
